2-Hour Historic Tour of Jerome

We have done many ghost tours in other haunted cities like Savannah, Charleston, and Key West and this was the best one we’ve done yet and our guide Don made the whole experience unforgettable!!!!! His extensive knowledge kept us engaged the entire time with his storytelling, history of Jerome and the surrounding area, and our ongoing paranormal encounters. We were constantly interacting with and communicating with the paranormal spirits of Jerome through Don’s “Ghost Box” transmitter as we walked around the town’s most haunted buildings and locations. Towards the end of our tour we asked Don what got him into all this, and he shared some fascinating stories about his time working as law enforcement for the LAPD and the paranormal activity experienced by the police officers there. He led a class to give these police officers a voice to speak about what really happened to them without the taboo around it all. He told us that prior to his class and with the older generations of police officers of the WWII era, if something paranormal happened to you in the police force you weren’t allowed to talk about it or else you’d be seen as crazy. He played a role in creating more of an open conversation and safe space to talk about their paranormal encounters on the job. Really fascinating conversation!!! Overall, we had a great time and learned so much about Jerome and what made it the “Wickedest Town in the West!” I highly recommend you book through Tours of Jerome because they are the longest running ghost tour company in town, they have extremely knowledgeable guides like Don, and they offer the best rates too. Their 2-hour tour cost the same amount as a 1-hour tour through the other more corporate ghost tour companies in town. This 2-hour tour was the perfect amount of time as well - any shorter and you'd just be left wanting for more. I can easily imagine that doing only a 1-hour tour would feel like you barely got to scratch the surface of Jerome and would wish you had more time there. We are so happy we booked through this company. Support your local tour companies and you will be happy you did!!! And ask for Don!!!
