Know before you go
- No participation with recent COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test result
- Bring a climbing harness, helmet, belay device, locking carabiner, and 30–45L backpack
- Bring mountaineering boots, steel crampons with vertical front points, two ice tools, and ski pole(s)
- Wear winter layers, shell pants and jacket, gloves, a winter hat, and sunglasses
- Pack sunscreen, food, 1.5–2L of water in bottles, medications, and personal items
Cancellation Policy
Cancel more than 30 days before for a full refund; non-private courses require 60 days' notice. Cancel within 30 days (60 days for courses) for a 50% refund. No refund within 7 days or for no-shows. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other reasons.
FAQs
Climbing harnesses, helmets, belay devices with locking carabiners, 30–45L backpacks, and ski poles can be provided. Mountaineering boots, steel crampons with vertical front points, and two ice tools can be rented locally in Salt Lake or Provo.
Gratuity is not expected, though tipping guides is customary. Typical gratuity is 10–20% of guiding fees billed.
