This is a typical itinerary for this off-road tour. The route and pace may vary based on group skill level, weather, and trail conditions.
Your tour begins at the Vegas ATV Adventures staging area near Goodsprings, Nevada. After check-in, your guides will fit you with helmets, gloves, and goggles, then walk through the controls of your ATV or SXS and cover safety protocols. Guides are patient with first-time riders and take time to make sure everyone is comfortable before heading out.
Once the briefing is complete, you follow your lead guide out onto the Mojave Desert trails. The route winds through the foothills of the Spring Mountains, an area that was once the richest mining district in Clark County. You will ride alongside canyon walls, through sandy washes, over gravel straights, and around hairpin turns, with stands of Joshua trees lining the trail on both sides. The terrain shifts throughout the ride, mixing "whoops" (rolling bumps), berms, and open stretches where you can pick up speed. A second guide rides at the back of the group to keep an eye on everyone. Along the way, keep watch for the Mojave Desert wildlife that calls this area home, including wild mustangs, burros, jackrabbits, coyotes, roadrunners, and quail.
A highlight of the tour is the figure-8 track, a purpose-built section of trail with flowing turns and open curves where riders can push their limits in a controlled setting. Your guide will walk you through the track before you ride it, and you can take multiple laps depending on time.
After the ride, you return to the staging area to drop off your vehicle and gear. For those who drove themselves out, the historic Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings is just three minutes away. Built in the early 1900s, it is the oldest saloon in Clark County and serves burgers and drinks in a setting full of mining-era character.
Pass-by highlights include: Joshua tree groves, canyon walls, old mining district terrain near Goodsprings, and Spring Mountains foothills

The Mojave Desert south of Las Vegas is a landscape of open valleys, rugged foothills, and desert flora that stretches to the horizon in every direction. This one-hour ATV and SXS tour drops you into the middle of it, trading the noise of the Strip for the quiet crunch of gravel and the wide-open sky above the Spring Mountains.
The riding area sits near Goodsprings, a small mining town that dates back to the early 1900s, when gold, silver, and lead drew prospectors to the region. Today the trails wind through that same terrain, passing stands of Joshua trees, skirting canyon walls, and rolling through sandy washes carved by flash floods. Your guide sets the pace based on your group's comfort, so beginners can take it steady while experienced riders push through whoops and berms at speed. The figure-8 track is a favorite, with banked turns and flowing lines that let riders feel the full capability of their vehicle. Between the trail sections, the Mojave Desert itself puts on a show: wild mustangs grazing in the distance, roadrunners darting across the path, and jackrabbits freezing in the scrub before bolting away.
This Mojave Desert off-road tour works well for couples looking for an adrenaline break from the casinos, groups of friends chasing a shared adventure, and solo travelers who want to do something unforgettable on a free morning or afternoon. With all riding gear provided and guides who cater to every skill level, you do not need any prior experience to get behind the handlebars and explore the Mojave Desert for yourself.
