With a near-perfect rating across hundreds of reviews, this Kona snorkeling and coastal tour operation has clearly built something special. The rotating cast of captains and first mates, including Rick, Shelby, Colin, Sandy, Gabe, and Kim, consistently earn praise for their deep knowledge of Hawaiian history, marine biology, and local wildlife. Guests frequently mention laughing the whole way through while also genuinely learning something. The zodiac boat format is a big part of what makes this stand out. Small group sizes mean personalized attention, and the nimble boats allow the crew to hug the coastline and access spots larger vessels simply can't reach. Wildlife sightings are impressive across the board, with dolphins, whales, sharks, turtles, and rich snorkeling all appearing regularly in reviews. The early departure times are a smart touch, getting guests to the reef before the crowds arrive. One thing worth knowing: the zodiac ride is bumpy, and a few guests flag that anyone prone to motion sickness or with physical limitations should keep that in mind. That said, it's clearly part of the adventure for most people. The consistent theme running through almost every review is that guests leave feeling like they got more than they expected, and many say it was the highlight of their entire trip.
Truly one of the best experiences we had on our entire trip. Captain Collin was awesome, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a very good, safe captain. Great snorkeling, saw dolphin, caves, truly had a great day. Thank you again!
