    • Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure; the boat leaves promptly
    • Ages 8+ only; each child under 12 requires one accompanying adult
    • Requires navigating elevated gangways, 3 boarding steps, one flight of stairs, and 5 steps to reach the lighthouse first floor
    • Full lighthouse access requires climbing five flights of curved stairs, using a curved ladder with three points of contact, and ducking through a 3-by-3-foot hatch
    • Tours operate rain or shine; dress for weather that may be cooler on the water
    • Use museum restrooms before boarding; the lighthouse has no restroom facilities
    • Wear shoes without backless, high-heeled, or slippery soles
    • Leave coolers, luggage, strollers, very large bags, and pets behind

    Cancel more than 7 days before departure for a full refund. Cancel 6 days to 24 hours before departure for a 50% refund. No refund within 24 hours or for no-shows. Full refund if the operator cancels, including due to dangerous weather.

    Yes. You may explore part of the lighthouse, such as the first floor. First-floor access requires navigating elevated gangways, climbing 3 steps to board Solaris, one flight of stairs, and 5 steps to the front door. Let a crew member know if you do not plan to navigate the full lighthouse.

    Bring a camera, sunscreen, and water or a snack. Dress for the weather and bring a light jacket or sweater on cooler days, as it can be cooler on the water. Wear shoes without backless, high-heeled, or slippery soles.

    Yes. General museum admission is included. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm; allow about 45 minutes to explore the exhibits before or after your Rondout Lighthouse Tour.

    Awesome stop and museum/gift shop. Tickets are good to get in person right as you walk in. The museum has alot of history and neat things to read. The giant ice yacht from FDR times was neat to see. Overall worth the stop and price. I usually try to go once a year.
