This locally-owned dive shop has built a stellar reputation through genuine hospitality and professionalism. From the first phone call through post-dive snacks, the team demonstrates they genuinely love what they do. Reviewers consistently praise the hassle-free booking process, flexible cancellation policies, and comfortable custom-built boats equipped with shade, refreshments, and proper facilities. The crew earns particular recognition—guides like Gordon, Emily, Calypso, and Captain Carlos get called out by name for their knowledge, enthusiasm, and safety-conscious approach. The manta ray night dive stands out as a crowd favorite, with multiple reviews calling it a life-changing experience. What makes this operator special is their ability to accommodate mixed groups seamlessly, whether you're an experienced diver, returning after years away, or a nervous first-timer. Several reviewers mention feeling genuinely comfortable and safe, even during their first night dive or open ocean experience. The smaller group sizes create an intimate, family-like atmosphere that larger operations can't match, and the crew's local expertise shines through in every interaction.
The experience of a lifetime! The boat captain, dive master, and snorkel guide were fantastic — professional, welcoming, and genuinely made sure we felt well cared for the entire time. Before we got in the water, they walked us through exactly what to expect, what to do (and not do), and why it mattered. All the gear was provided — wetsuits, snorkels, masks, noodles — so we didn’t have to think twice. Then the main event: a huge manta ray glided beneath us and did about 50 barrel rolls, right there in the water with us. Unreal. 100% recommend this tour group. We will absolutely be back. Thank you, Aquatic Life Divers of Kona!
