Explore a colorful East Hawai‘i reef on a guided one-tank shore dive with a local divemaster. Look for sea turtles, coral gardens, and lava formations along Hilo’s coastline.
- Enter from shore and follow a divemaster on a guided reef dive
- Spot Hawaiian green sea turtles, plus octopus, eels, rays, and reef fish
- Visit a natural turtle “cleaning station” where reef fish gather
- Dive for about 2.5 hours total including briefing, setup, and dive time
- Choose rental gear if needed, including mask, fins, wetsuit, BCD, and regulator

Things to know
Certified divers only; bring proof of Open Water Diver (or higher) certification at check-in. Not suitable if you are pregnant, over 300 lbs, have back problems, or cannot swim unassisted in the open ocean. After diving, wait at least 12 hours before ascending above 2,500 ft (18 hours after a two-tank dive).
Cancellation Policy
Full refund if canceled 48+ hours in advance. No refund for late cancellations or no-shows. Full refund if the operator cancels (e.g., due to weather).
