Private canyoneering rappels plus Colorado River packrafting in one day
7 - 9 hours
Guide, Canyoneering gear, Packraft gear
Rappel into the Medieval Chamber in the morning, then packraft the Colorado River in the afternoon. This private tour pairs easy hiking with moderate technical canyoneering and a flexible river section.
Suggested minimum age is 7 (exceptions are sometimes made). Wear closed-toe hiking shoes; there is a chance you’ll get your feet wet in the canyon.
Groups under 10: Cancel 2+ weeks out for a full refund. Cancel within 2 weeks but outside 48 hours: charged a $20/person deposit. Cancel within 48 hours: no refund. Groups 10+: 10% deposit required at booking; non-refundable unless guides cancel due to weather.
Plan to depart at 7:00 AM. You can often start at a different time, but it depends on availability.
Wear closed-toe hiking shoes (you may get your feet wet in the canyon). For the river, you can switch to water shoes or sandals with heel straps. Choose hiking clothes you can wear all day, and plan to get wet on the river.
Bring water in bottles (about 1–2 liters per person), snacks, and a lunch. Bring a backpack if you have one (backpacks are available if you need something bigger). Bring a hair tie if you have long hair. Sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera are optional.

This Moab-based outfit has earned an incredibly strong reputation for their canyoneering, rappelling, and national parks tours. What stands out most in the feedback is the exceptional quality of their guides. The attention to detail impresses too—guides handle all the logistics, bring snacks, cook meals on overnight trips, and even snap photos so everyone gets in the shot. Several families have returned multiple times over the years, which speaks volumes about consistency. If you're looking for a reliable, safety-focused operation that genuinely cares about creating memorable adventures for all ages and experience levels, this comes highly recommended.
What a great experience due to our guide. We had scheduled for 2 half days and were able to extend one day into a full day. She paced the hiking and selected trails that fit our abilities. Led us in directions that avoided crowded pathways. Made sure we were safe and saw everything we hoped for. She brought extra water and snacks to be on the safe side. You should totally do this guided experience!
