This rental does not include a captain. You must be a very experienced boater or bring your own captain, and you’ll provide details on your boat operating experience during booking.
The renter must be 27 or older and show a valid driver’s license. If the driver was born on or after September 1, 1993, Texas law requires a Texas Boater Education Certificate to operate a rental vessel.
Plan to reimburse fuel after your rental (the boat will be taken to a gas station and you’ll receive the receipt for reimbursement). Holiday weekends also have an additional per-hour charge, and some add-ons cost extra (tube and rope, wakeboard, water skis, lily pad, and a cooler with ice).
Lake Austin - Quinlan Park; Lake Travis - Mansfield Dam Park
If wake surfing is on your bucket list, this is a seriously solid place to start. The captains here, particularly Tess and Meagan, come up repeatedly in reviews for being patient, skilled, and genuinely fun to spend a day on the water with. Meagan in particular seems to have a gift for coaching, with multiple people going from complete beginners to surfing without a rope in a single session. The vibe across the board sounds relaxed and high-energy at the same time, good music, clean boat, and instructors who keep things encouraging without overloading you with instructions. Groups seem to have a great time here, whether it's a bachelorette crowd or a last-minute work outing. The near-perfect rating across hundreds of reviews is hard to argue with, and the consistency in what people love suggests this isn't just luck.
