    Duration

    8–10 hrs

    Ideal For

    Up to 6 people

    Includes

    Local guide, safari Jeep

    Highlights

Travel the winding Road to Hāna with a local guide in an open-air safari Jeep. A covered top and roll-down weather panels provide protection from sun and rain while open sides keep the views in reach.
    • Ride in a covered, open-sided safari Jeep with side-facing padded benches
    • Explore rainforests, waterfalls, coastlines, and Hāna Town along the front-side route
    • Customize stops around your interests and conditions, including Twin Falls and fruit stands
    • Visit Waiʻānapanapa State Park's Black Sand Beach with reservations included
    • Choose time for a waterfall or beach swim, which may mean less time at other stops

    Know before you go

    • Participation requires physical and mental fitness; wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, oxygen tanks, and generators cannot be accommodated
    • Guests with heart or respiratory conditions cannot participate
    • A signed liability waiver is required before departure; a parent or guardian must sign for participants under 18
    • Children must ride without a car seat or booster; typically age 10+ or at least 4 ft 9 in
    • Expect uneven lava rocks and wet, slippery terrain near waterfalls and hiking paths
    • Tours run rain or shine; heavy rain may lengthen the drive and change conditions at stops
    • Expect no cell service after leaving Paʻia until returning near town, with limited signal in Hāna

    Cancellation Policy

Full refund 7+ days before the tour; 50% refund 4–6 days before. No refund within 3 days or for no-shows. No refund if child safety rules are not met.

    FAQs

Bring cash for fruit stands, souvenirs, and other stops; a water bottle, snacks, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or poncho, and a camera or phone. Bring swimwear and a towel if you plan to swim.

Swimming may be possible at waterfalls or beaches such as Puaʻa Kaʻa, Waiʻānapanapa, or Hāmoa Beach. A swim stop may mean skipping another attraction or spending less time at other stops.

Prioritize the stops that matter most to your group. The route can be tailored to your interests, but the Road to Hāna drive takes about 2 hours without stops and often 4 hours or more one way with stops, so not every stop can fit into the day.

    Admission included

Standing at Waiʻānapanapa State Park, the contrast is immediate and unforgettable. Jet-black volcanic sand meets the churning turquoise surf, while ironwood trees bend in the salt wind above the shoreline. The air carries the scent of sea spray and wet lava rock. Waiʻānapanapa State Park rewards those who linger with hidden sea caves, blowholes, and a coastal trail that winds through some of the most dramatic scenery on Maui.
