Greenwich Village, NYC
These food tours have clearly figured out the winning formula: exceptional guides who bring NYC neighborhoods to life through both stories and tastings. Reviewers consistently rave about guides like Joe, Robin, Marie, and Jackie, praising not just their deep knowledge of local history and culture, but their genuine passion and engaging personalities. The tours cover various neighborhoods including Chelsea Market, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, and Nolita, with each guide tailoring their expertise to that specific area. The food itself is abundant and carefully chosen. Expect to skip lunch afterward, as tastings range from scones and artisan cheese to tacos, pizza, cannoli, and gelato. What stands out is how the culinary stops feel authentic rather than touristy. Families particularly appreciate that the selections work well for kids and teens, while the three-hour duration flies by thanks to the perfect mix of eating, walking, and storytelling. Even rain doesn't dampen the experience, according to several reviewers who still had a blast despite the weather.
We had a great time on our tour and really appreciated getting some history of the neighborhood along with delicious food. I have a gluten allergy and every stop had accommodations for me so I could enjoy the tour with my husband. Shout out to Rick for going above and beyond to make sure I was getting all of my tastings and for being a lovely tour guide! Highly recommend!
