Manta ray night snorkeling here consistently earns rave reviews, with guests regularly spotting anywhere from 3 to 11 rays swimming within arm's reach. The crew, including guides like Taco, Jacob, Peyton, and Captain Koa, bring genuine enthusiasm and expertise to every tour, sharing fascinating details like the fact that each ray has a unique spot pattern and a name the guides know personally. The operation runs smoothly and punctually, and the staff earns frequent praise for making nervous first-timers feel comfortable in the water. Families with kids, solo travelers, and large groups all report great experiences. The water is cold, so renting a wetsuit is worth considering. Beyond that, there's very little to fault here. Nearly every reviewer calls this a trip highlight, and many say it was the best experience of their entire Hawaii vacation.

BOOK THIS NOW!!! INCREDIBLE experience!!! I booked this night snorkel via email the day before, and the team was incredibly responsive! Earlier slots were already booked, so we ended up taking the 11:10 pm time slot, the last group of the night! Check-in upon arrival was smooth and efficient. We opted not to rent wetsuits, and the water temperature was totally fine without them. Even though we were the last group, the guides were absolutely amazing and full of energy. They were so friendly, told great jokes, and shared fascinating facts about the manta rays. Getting in the water and seeing these beautiful animals up close was an incredible experience. Manta rays are viewed as powerful protectors and spiritual guardians, and I am so grateful to Nick and his team for the opportunity to swim with them in Kona, at midnight, with my soulmate. I cannot recommend this tour enough!
