Know before you go
- Arrive at the summit at least 1 hour before your reserved departure
- Meet your driver upstairs inside the Summit House building near the entrance; check-in begins 15–20 minutes before departure
- Plan to hike down or arrange other transportation if you miss departure, as the shuttle cannot wait for late passengers
- Keep a working cell phone on for possible road-closure or delay updates
- Babies and children who require car seats cannot ride
- Pikes Peak hiking is not advised for pregnant travelers or travelers under 16 without prior 14,000-foot mountain hiking experience
- Expect separate parking costs at the Barr Trailhead; parking and gratuity are not included in the listed price
- Keep dogs leashed and near you on the vehicle floor when possible; an additional dog fee applies, and a cleaning fee of up to $100 may be charged for accidents or illness

Full refund with at least 48 hours' notice. Receive a 50% refund with 24–48 hours' notice. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are charged in full. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Bring as much water as you can comfortably carry, food, sun protection, a waterproof shell, lightweight hiking shoes with good tread, wool socks, an extra phone battery, pain relievers, bandages, and traction such as microspikes for icy conditions.
