We will quickly pack up and head to Hamakua Marsh, right across from our storefront. Talk about venturing off the beaten path, this hidden wildlife sanctuary is a true gem. Native, endangered birds are found here. Keep an eye out for the four endemic waterbird species: ‘Alae ‘Ula, Ae’o, ‘Alae Ke’o Ke’o, and Koloa Maoli. You’ll also find Mallard ducks, Cardinals, Mynah Birds, Bulbuls, Sparrows, and Doves.

Important details
- Arrive 30 minutes before your tour starts
- Requires the ability to ride a bike
- All paddlers must be physically fit and able to swim while wearing a life vest
- E-bike riders must be ages 16+ and accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Children under 13 require a private trip
- Children must share a double or three-seat kayak with a parent or guardian, with one child per adult
- Kids ages 8 and under ride in a kid bike trailer
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a swimsuit, water, and water shoes or athletic shoes
- Access on Popoia and Mokulua islets is limited to areas below the high-water mark
- No fires, dogs, camping, tents, tarps, or other structures are allowed in the wildlife sanctuaries
Cancellation Policy
Cancel more than 48 hours before start for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged in full. If the operator cancels for hazardous weather, choose a rescheduled tour or a refund. Rescheduled tours are nonrefundable.

FAQs
Wear a swimsuit and bring reef-safe sunscreen, water, and shoes suitable for both hiking and water activities (water shoes, hiking sandals, or athletic shoes). Bring sunglasses, a towel, a change of clothes, and leave valuables at home.
You get an e-bike, kayak rental, and kayak trailer, plus life vests, dry bags, snorkeling gear, and safety equipment. Water and snacks are included.
You must be 16+ to ride the e-bike and be with a parent or guardian. Children under 13 must book a private trip. Children must ride in a double or 3-seat kayak with a parent or guardian (one child per adult), and kids 8 and under ride in a kid bike trailer.
