Kupa'a Farms
Most visitors rave about the intimate, hands-on nature of these tours, where knowledgeable guides like Dia, Deliah, and Ann walk you through the complete journey of coffee and chocolate production. You'll pick coffee cherries straight from the trees, learn about traditional cacao preparation methods, and participate in actual chocolate making. The tastings are consistently praised as extensive and high quality, featuring chocolates from around the world alongside the farm's own products. The small group or private format means plenty of personal attention and time for questions, all set against gorgeous island views with friendly goats wandering the property. The educational component stands out, with guides sharing the history and science behind both crops while demonstrating processing and fermentation techniques. Families particularly appreciate how interactive everything is, from the hands-on activities to the opportunity to sample products throughout. One visitor was so impressed they returned as a volunteer. While one review criticized limited sampling and questioned some facts shared during the tour, the overwhelming majority found it informative, engaging, and well worth the drive to this small, regenerative farm.
What a great experience this was. We loved the private tour, getting to learn the history of the farm, the agricultural practices they are employing, and the interactive component at the end. I would definitely come back again and recommend this experience to my friends!
