Helicopter to 20 Mile Glacier, then raft the Twenty Mile River on a private trip
8 hours
Up to 10 people
Helicopter flight, lunch, guide
Fly by helicopter to 20 Mile Glacier, step onto the ice, then raft a mellow stretch of the Twenty Mile River with your guide. This private full-day tour is designed for your group, with lunch, drinks, and key gear provided.
Minimum of 3 guests required to book; suitable for ages 6 and up. Helicopter seat limit is 290 lbs; an additional $200 charge may apply if an R66 helicopter is required. Guide gratuity is not included.
Cancellations made 10 days or more in advance are eligible for a 90% refund. Cancellations within 10 days are nonrefundable.
Dress in warm layers and bring a rain jacket, thick warm socks (to wear with the provided rubber boots), a warm hat, gloves, binoculars, and a camera.
This trip is suitable for ages 6 and up. You raft a Class I–II (in high water) braided river with no big rapids, and most guests do not get splashed. If you want a drier ride, ask your guide for a spot in the raft that is not "splashy."
The helicopter seat weight limit is 290 lbs. If an R66 helicopter is required because your party’s total guest weight plus a guide cannot stay below 600 lbs, an additional charge of $200 applies for the party.

Chris, Kimberly, and Elizabeth lead tours that consistently impress visitors with their deep knowledge of Alaska and genuine enthusiasm for sharing it. Guests rave about the personalized attention, especially on smaller tours, and appreciate how guides accommodate photo stops and wildlife viewing opportunities. The food selections are delicious, and the tours cleverly combine history, culture, and local dining experiences. Whether exploring the Wildlife Conservation Center, hiking to Matanuska Glacier, or discovering Anchorage eateries, travelers feel they're getting an authentic local perspective rather than a typical tourist experience. A few guests wished for more food and fewer sweets on the culinary tours, or hoped for greater focus on hidden gems beyond downtown spots. One reviewer felt the downtown tour could have offered more detail for the price, and another noted some portion sizes felt small. These are minor quibbles in an otherwise stellar track record. The guides' willingness to customize experiences and run tours even for just two people demonstrates real commitment to quality. Traffic around Anchorage can occasionally slow things down, but the guides make the most of every moment with engaging stories and flexibility.
Robbie-O is the BEST. I never leave reviews for stuff but this was so good. Easy and relaxed and you’ll feel right at home even if you are someone who is like “ughhhhhh I don’t do tourrrrrs”
