Most reptile displays, the Safari Room garden, and the giant tortoise building are indoors. In summer, outdoor shows continue in rain unless there is hail or nearby lightning. Extreme weather may cause closures.
Bring water bottles anytime. In spring and fall, you may bring food. During summer, leave large coolers and outside meals off the grounds; small snacks in a purse or diaper bag are allowed for young children.
The gift store sells snacks and soda year-round. The Green Parrot Café serves hot food and cold treats from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend only.
