Explore Boulder Canyon’s granite routes on a 6-hour guided rock climbing trip suited to all experience levels. You’ll spend the day climbing with provided gear and time to focus on technique and movement.
Summer thunderstorms can occur; bring a light rain jacket. Sunglasses and a camera are optional.
Cancel 3 days or more before your trip. No refunds for cancellations within 3 days of your trip date. If location changes due to weather or wet rock, no refunds. If weather or wet rock makes climbing impossible and you cannot reschedule, refunds or credits are offered.
Use the climbing gear provided by FRCC. If you own your own equipment, you’re welcome to bring it, but it isn’t required.
Bring water (FRCC recommends 2 quarts, or 2–3 liters), food (snacks and/or lunch), and a small backpack to carry your items.
Wear sturdy sneakers, approach shoes, or Chaco sandals. Some climbing areas require a short hike from the parking area.
First-timers and families seem to find their perfect match here. The guides—particularly Jen, Max, Dolan, and Nathan—get consistent praise for their patience and ability to make nervous climbers feel safe and capable. Multiple reviews mention kids who started scared but finished begging to go first, which speaks volumes about how the team handles anxious moments. Parents appreciate that guides don't just rush people up routes but actually teach the fundamentals, from belaying techniques to gear knowledge. What stands out is how the guides balance professionalism with genuine friendliness. Climbers repeatedly describe feeling like they're out with a knowledgeable friend rather than just a hired instructor. The teaching approach seems tailored to each person's comfort level, and several reviewers mention walking away with skills they can use at home gyms. Garden of the Gods and North Cheyenne Canyon are popular spots, though they'll take you to multi-pitch routes in the Flatirons and Clear Creek Canyon if you're up for more challenge. The booking process is straightforward, and the company provides all necessary equipment including shoes, harnesses, and helmets.
