Itinerary
- Meet at the trailhead off Fortuna Road near the red and white fence.
- Hike the 1-mile out-and-back trail, passing through grassy areas, tropical forest, and the ruins of Estate Santa Maria.
- Arrive at Santa Maria Beach for relaxation and snorkeling.
Important details
- Ages 12+ only
- Carry personal identification and any necessary emergency contact information
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes with good grip; sandals and flip-flops are not suitable for the uneven, sometimes slippery trail
- Bring 1–2 liters of water and a fully charged cell phone for emergency communication
- Bring your own equipment if you plan to snorkel; equipment is not provided or available to rent on-site
- Follow your guide, stay together on the trail, and pack out all trash
