Things to know
Recommended for hikers age 12 and older. The October Half Dome Summit hike requires an additional permit. Beginning in 2026, non-U.S. residents age 16 and older may be charged a Yosemite nonresident fee ($100 per person or $250 per group) at the gate.
Cancellation Policy
Easy Cancelations Rate: cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a $25.00 processing fee; within 24 hours refunded 50%. Non-Refundable Rate: 50% refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before; within 48 hours or no-shows are not refunded. Full refund if Echo cancels due to weather, fire, road closures, or guide unavailability.
FAQs
Lunch is not included. You typically can’t buy lunch during the hike, so bring a bag lunch or add a custom hiker’s lunch.
Wear layers and hiking boots or shoes (trainers, hiking boots, or hiking sandals all work). Avoid denim or other cotton clothing since it retains moisture and can be uncomfortable.
Bring layered clothing, a brimmed hat and sunglasses, sun block and insect repellent, a camera and binoculars, lunch, and about 1 liter of water per person.
