Explore a forest-fringed oxbow lake near downtown Saint Paul
Kayak rental, life jackets
Paddle Pickerel Lake in a single or tandem kayak, surrounded by floodplain forest and scenic bluffs. Explore the water or spend your time fishing and birdwatching.
Paddles are canceled and refunds processed when the air quality index reaches 150 or above. Stations close for lightning within 5 miles of the Lowry Avenue or 35E Bridge. High water, low temperatures and sustained winds over 20 mph can also prevent paddling. Rain alone does not close stations. Access codes are deactivated for weather cancellations.
