Owner-guided Skagway sightseeing with Gold Rush context
1.5 Hours
Harbor views, cemetery, Reid Falls
Explore Skagway in a relaxed small-group setting led personally by the owner-guide. Gain local context that brings the town's past into focus.
Scenic Overlook & Harbor Views
We begin with panoramic views above town — a scenic overlook that reveals the full layout of Skagway’s harbor, cruise ships, and surrounding mountains.
From here, you’ll understand why this tiny port became the gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush.
It’s the kind of view that explains everything at once.
Gold Rush Cemetery & Reid Falls
Next, we visit the historic Gold Rush Cemetery and nearby Reid Falls, one of Skagway’s most beautiful natural landmarks.
Here, I’ll share the stories behind:
• The town’s most famous characters • The rivalries and reputations of the Gold Rush era • The truth behind Skagway’s legendary outlaws
For those up for a short 5-10 minute hike, we can head up to Reid Falls and see one of the most photographed spots in town. The cemetery is also full of interesting sites for those who want to observe the serenity and beauty of the place.
It’s a powerful reminder that Skagway’s story is tied as much to the landscape as the people.
Historic Downtown Orientation
We’ll also travel through historic downtown Skagway, highlighting the buildings, streets, and locations that shaped this once-rowdy frontier town.
You’ll see the places where stampeders prepared for the long journey to the Yukon — and where some of Skagway’s most colorful stories unfolded.
By the end of the tour, the streets won’t just look charming.
They’ll make sense.
