Bring layers, a waterproof jacket, comfortable shoes, and a camera. Conditions can be colder at the summit and warmer in British Columbia and the Yukon.
Restrooms or latrines along the route are primitive and have no running water. Cell and data service are unavailable once the tour leaves Skagway.
The tour travels remote highways where emergency response times may be long, and the terrain is not Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible.
