Meet Your Guide — Meet in Asheville’s South Slope neighborhood, where your guide will introduce you to the area and the evening ahead.
First Rooftop Stop — Head to your first rooftop for a featured cocktail, mocktail or local beer. Settle in, get to know your group and discover the stories behind South Slope.
Second Rooftop Stop — Walk through the neighborhood to your next rooftop while learning about South Slope’s evolution from an industrial district into the center of Asheville’s renowned craft brewery scene.
Third Rooftop Stop — Finish at a final rooftop with another included drink and time to relax, take photos, purchase food or another beverage, and enjoy the neighborhood from above.
Plan on approximately 50 minutes at each rooftop and three hours for the complete experience.
Cancel at least 48 hours before your tour for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows are nonrefundable. Tours generally operate rain or shine; rooftop access depends on weather, and the itinerary may change.

Allow extra travel time: downtown Asheville parking garages can fill quickly, and Uber or Lyft wait times may vary during busy periods.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing for the rooftop walking tour. Bring water, especially in warmer weather, and a light rain jacket or umbrella if rain is forecast. Bring a credit or debit card if you plan to purchase additional food or drinks.

Kaye, Tate, Melissa, and Tom make up a team of guides who clearly know their city inside and out. Reviewers consistently highlight the depth of historical knowledge these guides bring to each stop, including old photos and stories that even Asheville locals found surprising. The tour moves between several upscale rooftop bars via van, with reserved seating and attentive service at each location, making it feel more curated than your typical bar crawl. The cocktails get high marks across the board, and non-drinkers are well accommodated with thoughtfully crafted mocktails. Several guests also appreciated the option to order small bites at some stops. One reviewer noted the drinks felt a bit light, though that appears to be an isolated take among an otherwise very enthusiastic crowd. The sunset timing at the final stop comes up more than once as a genuine highlight worth planning around. This tour seems to hit a sweet spot for people who want an evening out that feels social and lively without running too late into the night. It works well for couples, groups, and solo travelers looking to get a real feel for the city from above.
Great tour. I highly recommend it. Sam was our guide and he was great. We met some amazing people and learned a lot about Asheville history and architecture. The bars and drinks were also great.
