The Adventure Boat
Captain Chris and his crew have created something pretty special here. This isn't your typical crowded tour boat experience. These are private charters on a speedboat, which means you get to customize your day and zip around to spots the bigger vessels can't access. The vibe is relaxed and fun, with good music playing while you cruise the coastline. People consistently rave about how knowledgeable and personable Chris is, and his crew members (Sara, Sarah, and Josh get shoutouts) seem equally great at making guests feel comfortable and entertained. The marine life sightings are genuinely impressive. Multiple groups encountered spinner dolphins, humpback whales, sea turtles, and tons of fish while snorkeling. Chris apparently has a knack for finding wildlife and will happily follow pods of dolphins or whales for extended periods. One reviewer even mentioned the crew stopping to pick up trash from the ocean, which is a nice touch. There's also a unique tiki sunset cruise option that takes you to La Mariana, a vintage tiki bar only accessible by boat, which sounds like an absolute blast based on the glowing descriptions. One honest three-star review does offer a different perspective worth noting. That family felt the captain was distant and hard to connect with, and they were taken to a choppy snorkeling spot off Waikiki Beach despite rough conditions, leading to seasickness and poor visibility. They felt it wasn't worth the premium price tag. However, this seems to be the exception. The overwhelming majority describe warm, personalized service and a willingness to adapt to what guests want to see, whether that's dolphins, whales, or just cruising with good vibes.
Our whole family—my wife, daughters, and I—had an incredible time on this tour. We spotted turtles, dolphins, possibly even whales mating, and way more - also we took in breathtaking views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. The snorkeling was fantastic as well. Chris and Jeff were both knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking a private tour—no crowds, just an amazing, personalized adventure with zero disappointments.
