Know before you go

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour start time
• Bring the original government-issued photo ID used for security screening if you are 18 or older; photocopies and phone photos aren't accepted
• Bring your original passport and applicable visa if you are a foreign national
• Expect a security background check for admission to the Academy grounds
• Prepare for moderate walking, including about 1 hour 40 minutes outdoors on sometimes unpaved, uneven paths
• Leave food behind; it isn't permitted on the tour
• Dress for rain-or-shine conditions and bring water, sunscreen, or an umbrella as needed
• Expect the cemetery route to change or the chapel to close for an official event or unforeseen funeral or ceremony
