Yes. Yukon Suspension Bridge admission is an extra $16 per person, and every guest must pay it whether you cross the bridge or not.
Dress in layers (light shirt, mid-layer, and an overcoat or rain jacket). Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, a camera, cash for lunch, and a reusable water bottle.
Meet your guide, who will be wearing a blue coat and holding a Beyond Skagway sign, at the end of your ship's pier, just past port security.
Standing at the edge of the Yukon Suspension Bridge, you feel the gentle sway underfoot and hear the river churning through the canyon below. Towering spruce and pine press close on both banks, and the cool, resin-scented air carries the sound of rushing water up through the gorge. The Yukon Suspension Bridge offers a rare chance to pause above a wild river corridor and take in the scale of the surrounding boreal landscape. It is a crossing that rewards slow walkers who stop mid-span to watch the current carve its way through ancient rock.
We had such an enjoyable tour. Ed was a great guide and very knowledgeable of the area. We enjoyed seeing a brown bear and other wildlife. Would definitely recommend and would love to do it again on our next visit.
