The Sea Tiger is a decommissioned Chinese freighter that was intentionally sunk off the coast of Honolulu, Hawaii, to create an artificial reef and recreational dive site. Resting at roughly 110 feet at its deepest point on a sandy bottom, the wreck has spent decades transforming into a thriving underwater ecosystem. Hard and soft corals now encrust the exterior hull, while schools of goatfish, butterflyfish, and bluefin trevally circulate through the superstructure in steady, unhurried patterns.

The ship's cargo holds, stairwells, and engine room remain largely intact, giving divers a genuine sense of exploring a vessel frozen in time. Advanced divers can penetrate the interior spaces with proper equipment, while less experienced divers find plenty to investigate along the exterior deck and railings. The surrounding seafloor is equally alive, with garden eels poking from the sand and the occasional Hawaiian green sea turtle resting near the hull.

Because the site sits in relatively calm, protected waters on the south side of Oahu, it is accessible for much of the year and serves as one of Honolulu's most reliable wreck dives. The combination of accessible depth ranges, structural complexity, and dense marine life makes Sea Tiger one of the most rewarding artificial reef dives in the Hawaiian Islands.
