    One of the absolute highlights of our time in Page. We booked last‑minute and called to see if there was any availability, and from the very first conversation the team was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. John went above and beyond to make sure we were making a safe decision with the rain in the area — he genuinely cared about conditions and our experience, not just filling a spot. We mentioned that we were hoping for something a bit more adventurous and unique. In Page, everyone talks about “a popular other Canyon” — and while it’s beautiful, it’s also a very commercial, high‑traffic experience where you’re moved through in big groups. We were looking for something more intimate and personal, and John immediately recommended Deer Canyon, which is on his family’s land. It turned out to be exactly what we hoped for. The descent was well over 250 feet, opening into a stunning slot canyon that we snaked through with unbelievable views at every turn, and ladders to climb up and out. We happened to be the only two on the tour, so it felt like a private experience — quiet, immersive, and paced perfectly for us. John shared the history of the land, pointed out geological details, and made the entire adventure feel meaningful and connected. One thing we loved is that this family‑owned company offers multiple canyon options on their land — from calmer, easier routes to more technical, adventurous ones.
