French Broad River Paddle & Pints

Float a roughly 5-mile stretch of the French Broad River, then unwind at Ecusta Brewing Company. Food and drinks at the brewery are not included in the listed price.

Itinerary

1. Meet at Ecusta Brewing at 9:30am.
2. Short shuttle (about 5–10 minutes) to Pisgah Forest Access to begin the paddle.
3. Paddle the French Broad River to Penrose Access (approximately 2 hours total experience).
4. Shuttle back to Ecusta Brewing arriving around 12:00pm.

Important details

• Arrive dressed and ready 15 minutes before your trip time
• Park in Ecusta Brewing's overflow lot across the street and use the pedestrian crosswalk
• All participants must be able to swim
• Wear closed-toe shoes, such as old tennis shoes or river shoes; flip-flops are not allowed
• Wear a life jacket at all times while on the river
• Complete and sign the required liability waiver before going on the river; a legal guardian must sign for participants under 18
• Trips do not operate during thunder or lightning storms or when the river level is above 3.0 feet on the Rosman River Gauge
