The owners here have built up a loyal following for good reason. Repeat customers praise the reasonable prices, reliable boats, and genuinely helpful staff who take time to offer recommendations, especially if you're new to the area. The pontoons are popular for family outings, and the Lost Parrot party boat gets enthusiastic mentions for bachelorette parties and group celebrations with a fun crew keeping everyone entertained. The online booking process is straightforward, and they're accommodating when weather or plans change. Most boats are well-maintained and clean, though a couple renters mentioned getting older pontoons that felt less nice than expected. One reviewer had a frustrating timing issue where safety briefings ate into their rental time without any offer to make it right. Staff members like Kiley, Matt, and Ray get called out by name for being friendly and knowledgeable. There's a bonus beach area right by the rental spot where kids can swim, plus a nearby restaurant for post-adventure relaxation.
Me and my son with special needs love to go sailing. We rented a 14 foot Hobie Cat sailboat from Door County Boat Rental and we had a wonderful time sailing and skimming across the glass smooth water of Sturgeon Bay during the morning. The staff at Door County Boat Rental were kind and helpful to us from start to finish and when the wind picked up to a dangerous level and the water began to whitecap, they were supportive of us ending our 4 hour rental early and refunding us for rental time that we weren't able to sail in. Also, my car needed a tire repair and they recommended a good place in town which was able to fix my tire after our sailing excursion. Thanks to Tristan, Kylie and all the other kind and generous staff at Door County Boat Rental!
