Standing at the rim of Horseshoe Bend, you look down at one of the American Southwest's most striking geological spectacles. The Colorado River wraps almost entirely around a massive sandstone peninsula, forming a horseshoe shape that took millions of years to carve. The warm amber and rust tones of the canyon walls shift with the light throughout the day, making Horseshoe Bend a rewarding destination at sunrise, midday, and dusk alike. The sheer scale of the drop below the overlook is something photographs rarely capture fully.
We had a great time in the UTVs. David was a great guide.
