Important details
- All ages are welcome. Each canoe allows up to two adults and one child age 10 or under. The recommended canoe weight limit is 500 lbs.
- Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards have a maximum weight of 250 lbs per vessel. Single kayaks accommodate one person; duo kayaks accommodate two.
- River depths can exceed 6 feet. The shorter 4-mile trip is recommended for first-time paddlers, weaker swimmers, or those with low stamina.
- Dogs are welcome on the river. Keep your dog collared and leashed on the property and during vehicle transport, and pick up after your dog. The $10 pet fee is not included in the listed price; you'll pay it in the shop.
- Bring a properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket for each child. Children age 6 and under must wear a life jacket at all times on watercraft.
- Children riding in the middle of a canoe must sit on the floor, not on the thwarts or a cooler.
- Personal watercraft are not transported.
- Do not bring glass bottles or Styrofoam containers. Alcohol is limited to three 12-ounce cans per adult of legal drinking age. Coolers may be checked before departure; keep alcoholic drinks closed during vehicle transport.
- A signed waiver is required for everyone age 16 and older. The group leader signs for anyone under 16. Complete any outstanding signatures at check-in.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel more than 48 hours before your trip for a refund minus $5 per craft. Within 48 hours, you'll receive credit valid for up to one calendar year, with no refund. This policy also applies in inclement weather. If the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you'll receive a rain check. No-shows are charged the full price.

Yes. Limit your cooler to one 48-quart cooler or smaller, and keep gear to a minimum to reduce the risk of tipping or losing items. Small, soft-sided coolers work best in kayaks.
Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, a hat, dry towels, and snacks or a picnic lunch. Snacks, drinks, and ice are available to purchase at the deli. Plan carefully for car keys, wallets, phones, and glasses—these are commonly lost on the river.
