Guided 3-Hour ATV Tour of Chugach State Park

Explore Chugach State Park by ATV with a small group and guide. Ride through temperate rainforest, pause for photos, and take in mountain and Turnagain Arm views.

• Ride winding wooded trails through Alaska's northernmost temperate rainforest
• Learn wildlife-spotting techniques for moose, eagles, Dall sheep, mountain goats, and bears
• Hike a short route with two steep sections to a glacier-fed waterfall, or stay at the overlook
• Look for seasonal salmon spawning in the river

Itinerary

Once you arrive at 10AM we will get you checked in by signing waivers, getting helmets, driving gloves, and safety glasses (if needed), We then begin our training in our expansive training lot. Everyone participates in the training no matter thier experience level to ensure they are comfortable with the machine they are driving/riding. Once everyone is comfortable we will head out on the trail!

Important details

• Arrive at your scheduled departure time; the guide may not be present earlier
• Sign a waiver before riding
• Riders: ages 8+, at least 48 inches tall, and at least 50 lbs
• Drivers: ages 16+, at least 60 inches tall, at least 100 lbs, and physically able to operate an ATV in the backcountry
• No driver's license required
• Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a warm layer
• Ride rain or shine
• Participation is subject to guide safety approval
• Parking costs $5 per vehicle and is not included in the listed price
