Stuart, Ben, Fiona, and the rest of the team here are the real draw. Guides who clearly know every dog by name and personality, including some with Iditarod experience on staff, make this feel like a genuinely personal experience rather than a tourist package. Families with young kids consistently rave about it, and the post-ride time spent meeting and playing with the dogs seems to be a highlight for just about everyone. Worth knowing: snow conditions in Colorado can be hit or miss, and several visitors ended up on an ATV instead of a sled. Most found it just as fun and authentic, though if traditional dog sledding is your main goal, conditions are worth checking on ahead of time. One reviewer noted a cancellation and communication issue, but the overwhelming majority of experiences have been smooth and memorable. The team's obvious care for their dogs seems to resonate strongly with visitors, especially those who were particular about booking with an ethical operation. Happy, well-socialized dogs and knowledgeable guides who love what they do make this a hard experience to replicate elsewhere.
We enjoyed our experience so much! Really cool learning about and interacting with the dogs. As others have said, not enough snow to sled and we were on an atv but it was still a very special time. Kids loved it. Hope we can dog sled with this same crew in Alaska one day!
