Itinerary
- Meet at Oskar Blues Brewery, NC where Headwaters Outfitters provides boats and gear.
- Take a quick bus shuttle to the Pisgah Forest access.
- Receive a brief safety orientation and gear assistance from staff.
- Paddle approximately five miles down the French Broad River over about two hours.
- Finish at the Penrose Access and shuttle back to Oskar Blues Brewery.

- Arrive dressed and ready 15 minutes before your trip start time
- Complete a liability waiver before launching; a legal guardian must sign for participants under 18
- Swimming ability is required
- Wear secure shoes; flip-flops are not permitted
- Wear a life jacket at all times on the river; personal life jackets must be U.S. Coast Guard Level III approved
- Trips do not operate during thunderstorms or when the Rosman River Gauge is above 3.0 feet
- Drinks at the brewery are not included in the listed price
Cancellation Policy
Cancel 7 or more days before your trip for a full refund. Cancel 1–6 days before for a 50% refund. No refund for day-of no-shows. River trips operate rain or shine. Receive a full refund if the operator cancels due to thunder or lightning, unsafe air or water temperatures, high winds, or high water levels.
