Explore the East Village on a guided dessert walk featuring flavors and traditions from around the world. Discover sweets from independent local businesses, from soft, chewy bites to tropical desserts and modern pastries.
Tompkins Square Park — Welcome & First Sweet
We’ll begin in the heart of the East Village with our first surprise dessert already waiting. As we taste, we’ll uncover the fascinating immigrant history of the neighborhood and one of New York’s most powerful forgotten stories.
East Village Streets — Cookies, Gardens & Street Art
Next, we’ll wander through the neighborhood’s colorful streets, discovering community gardens, murals, local characters, and hidden pieces of East Village history. Along the way, we’ll stop for an exceptional take on a classic New York favorite.
A Taste of Hong Kong
Our dessert journey continues with a refreshing and unexpected Asian dessert featuring tropical flavors and a completely different texture from anything we’ve tasted so far.
Southeast Asian Pastry
Next comes one of the showstoppers—a beautiful modern pastry inspired by Southeast Asian flavors. This is the kind of dessert you might walk right past without knowing what you're missing.
St. Mark’s Place — Music & Counterculture
Dessert gives way to rock & roll as we explore legendary St. Mark’s Place and discover some of the musicians, artists, and cultural movements connected to the East Village—including a stop at an iconic rock-music landmark.
The Hidden Finale
There’s one last surprise.
We’ll retrace our steps toward something you may have noticed earlier in the tour: a mysterious vintage phone booth.
What happens next? I’ll leave that part for you to discover.
Once inside, we’ll finish our East Village adventure with a handcrafted zero-proof specialty drink and toast to our sweet journey through one of New York City’s most unforgettable neighborhoods.
