Itinerary
Check In & Boarding – Arrive 15 minutes before departure to check in, meet your captain, and board the vessel.
Depart Honokōhau Harbor – Head out along the Kona Coast as we begin searching for humpback whales.
Search for Whales – Cruise offshore while your captain looks for blows, breaches, tail slaps, and other signs of whale activity.
Watch & Listen – Once whales are located, we’ll spend time observing their natural behavior from a safe and respectful distance. When conditions allow, we’ll lower our hydrophone so you can listen for humpback whale songs and vocalizations underwater.
Return to Harbor – Enjoy the cruise back to Honokōhau Harbor, completing your approximately 2-hour whale watching adventure.

- Not recommended during pregnancy or with serious back, neck, or mobility conditions that boat movement could aggravate. The small vessel may encounter bumpy or rough seas.
- Requires safely boarding and disembarking the vessel with assistance.
- Bring a valid Hawaii ID for the Hawaii resident rate.
- Supervise children at all times as their parent or guardian.
- The captain may modify the trip for safety based on weather and ocean conditions.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 48 hours before the tour date for a full refund or credit. You'll also receive a full refund or credit if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Tours may be canceled if minimum numbers are not met. No-shows are charged the full price and cannot reschedule without an additional charge.

No. Humpback whales are wild animals, so sightings are not guaranteed on your whale-watching tour.
Park in any single-stall parking spot around the brown restroom building. Do not park in the truck-and-trailer parking areas.
Wear comfortable clothing for being on the water. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a light jacket or windbreaker, a camera or phone, and any personal medications. Ocean conditions can vary; take any motion-sickness medication you normally use before departure.
