The crew here absolutely makes the experience. Names like Captain Jeff, Cody, Alexis, Daniel, and Jake show up repeatedly in glowing reviews, with guests praising their knowledge about marine life, Hawaiian history, and genuine passion for the ocean. They run smaller group tours, which travelers love for the personal attention and less crowded feel compared to larger operations. The guides clearly prioritize safety while keeping things fun and educational. The manta ray encounters deliver on the hype. Guests consistently report seeing multiple rays (often 7-12) swimming incredibly close, sometimes within inches. Several reviews mention the crew going above and beyond, like canceling their last tour to take guests to a second location when conditions weren't ideal at the first spot. One enthusiastic visitor even booked a second tour on the spot because the first was so incredible. The only minor note: one tour ended 30 minutes early, though that seemed unusual. Expect a magical evening with knowledgeable guides who genuinely care about giving you an unforgettable experience with these graceful creatures.
We had booked with another company and due to boat issues they had to cancel a few hour before the tour. We were able to book last minute for a 9:45pm tour with Coral Reef and it was epic. The crew Cody, Alexis and Daniel were welcoming from the initial text and made the entire process easy. My son, 5 years old, opted not to go into the water and Alexis and Daniel were so engaging with him while we were in the water he is still talking about how Alexis swam with Hammer head sharks. Thank you for making it fun for him as well. In the water Cody was informative and allowed us to enjoy and be in the moment with the 12+ rays. We had the tour to ourselves so when the other boats left and headed back we were left to enjoy the experience just the 5 of us in the water with a dozen or more rays feeding. We highly recommend this outfit and look forward to sharing this experience with family and friends when they visit as well. Thank you again for unforgettable memories. Give us a holler if you ever make it to Alaska 🌊
