    Itinerary

#9:30 am: Pickup from within the City Limits of Page or Meet at the Shell Gas Station

Complimentary pickup anywhere within Page city limits at your hotel, Airbnb, or campground. Not staying in Page or checking out early? Join us the Shell Gas Station aka Big Lake Trading Post by 9:30 am sharp. Your driver will confirm your pickup details at booking.

#Transit to the canyon: Cultural storytelling on the road

Your local Navajo guide begins sharing stories, history, and traditions of the land and the Navajo people as you travel, turning the ride into the first chapter of your experience.

#10:00 am: At the canyon: Check-in & 10-minute walk to the entrance

Your ShunDiin guide checks you in at the Lower Canyon booth then hands you off to the Navajo tour guide and walks with you along a short 10-minute path to the entrance.

Then you will descend 5 flights of stairs (or 82 steps total) into the largest cavern of the tour, where the V-shaped canyon walls close tightly around you in swirling layers of amber, violet, and rose.

Lower Canyon is V-shaped — wide at the top, narrow at the base. Not recommended for guests with claustrophobia or significant mobility limitations.

#10:15 am - 11:15 am: Inside Lower Canyon: A 1.1-mile walk through sculpted underground color

Follow a one-way path through one of the most vividly colored slot canyons on earth. Your guide shares Navajo legends and photo tips as you move through the winding underground passageways.

#Exiting Lower Canyon and climbing out on 8 ladders with handrails

The exit climbs you gradually back to the surface through 8 separate ladders, each with handrails, as the canyon opens toward daylight above. Closed-toe shoes with good grip are required for this section.

#After the canyon: Big Lake Trading Post stop & drop-off

We reboard the van and make a stop at Big Lake Trading Post for snacks, souvenirs, and restrooms.

    #11:45 am: Drop-off
