Important details
- Ages 12+ only to paddle a solo kayak or paddleboard
- Children under 12 must share a tandem kayak or canoe with an adult age 18+
- Swimming is required, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Life jackets must be worn near and on the water
- Participants under 18 require adult permission and a waiver signature
- Single kayak capacity is 275 lbs; tandem kayak capacity is 450 lbs, depending on river and weather conditions
- Allow 45 minutes to paddle back from upriver and return equipment by your scheduled due time
Cancellation Policy
Same-day cancellations may be eligible to rebook or may not receive a refund. If the operator closes due to weather or river conditions, you can rebook or receive a refund. No-shows do not receive a refund.
FAQs
Return your rental to the dock within your reserved time. At Jerry’s Docks, all kayaks must be back by 7:30pm due to sundown.
Wear lightweight clothing (avoid jeans or heavy cotton) and sandals, flip-flops, or thin-soled shoes. Bring a rain jacket or windbreaker plus sunglasses and a hat.
Bring a water bottle filled with water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and your ID and money (if you plan to stop along the river). Small, soft-sided coolers are okay.
