With nearly a perfect rating across hundreds of reviews, this kayak and paddleboard launch spot has clearly built a loyal following. Reviewers mention returning year after year, some for over five years, which says a lot about the consistency of the experience. The staff gets called out repeatedly for being kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and small touches like having vessels ready before you arrive and sending a map of suggested routes ahead of time show real attention to detail. The setting itself is a natural mangrove environment, calm and peaceful, with occasional wildlife sightings like turtles and other critters along the way. The check-in process is smooth, especially if you complete the waiver in advance, and the facilities include clean bathrooms and showers. Prices are described as reasonable, and the interactive maps provided by staff make navigation easy even for first-timers. The scenery is fairly consistent throughout, mostly mangrove forests, so if you're hoping for dramatic variety or abundant wildlife, it's worth setting expectations accordingly. That said, the overwhelming majority of visitors leave happy and most come back. For families, solo paddlers, or anyone looking for a laid-back day on the water with reliable service, this place delivers.
The gentleman that helped us was very informative and helpful. The kayaks were comfortable and we had a great time. We were lucky that we encountered 2 manatees, an otter, 2 turtles, and lots of fish. We will definitely be back.
