    Important details

    • A parent or guardian must accompany anyone 17 or younger at all times.
    • Requires swimming 50 yards unassisted, without additional flotation. A life jacket does not replace swimming ability.
    • Prior ocean snorkeling experience and intermediate snorkeling ability are required. One-on-one instruction is not available.
    • Requires full mobility, independent boarding and movement on and off the boat, and climbing a ladder unassisted. There is no weight restriction.
    • Good physical and mental health is required. Pregnancy, cognitive impairments, shoulder or back/neck issues, recurring dislocations, and any current injury or medical condition prevent participation. Snorkeling involves lying face-down with your arms outstretched for 30–40 minutes.
    • Conversational English and the ability to understand and follow safety directions are required for everyone in your party.
    • Review the medical questionnaire. Physician approval is required for any positive response.
    • You may be denied boarding or water entry if participation is considered unsafe.
    • You may need to present the credit card used for payment and matching valid photo identification at check-in.

    • Complete the digital waiver before arrival; it is required for check-in.
    • Arrive wearing your swimsuit; there is no time to change before departure.
    • Full-face masks and waterproof phone cases with long lanyards are not permitted.
    • Arrive on time for departure.

    FAQs

Snorkeling is not recommended for at least two days after your flight because exertion may increase the risk of rapid-onset pulmonary edema, a buildup of fluid in the lungs.

No. Manta rays are wild animals, so sightings on your private charter are not guaranteed.

Check your email for trip updates. Important ocean-condition or cancellation information may also arrive by text.

If manta ray encounters are on your bucket list, this is the operation to book. Reviewers consistently rave about getting up close with mantas, spinner dolphins, sea turtles, and even the occasional sandbar shark. The wildlife sightings sound genuinely spectacular, not just lucky one-offs. The crew gets called out by name constantly, with guides like Tori, Adam, Ty, Amy, and Shari earning praise for being knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and great at keeping groups engaged and safe. That personal touch seems to elevate the experience well beyond a standard boat tour. With nearly perfect ratings across thousands of reviews and zero consistent complaints to speak of, the pattern here is hard to ignore. The manta ray night snorkel in particular gets described as a trip highlight by almost everyone who does it. If you're on the Big Island and on the fence, the overwhelming consensus is pretty clear: just go.
