- Arrive 30 minutes before departure for check-in
- Wear comfortable shoes for rough terrain and a 72-step climb from the dock, with a rest stop available
- Strollers and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on Bannerman Island
- Babes in arms or carriers are not allowed on Bannerman Island due to uneven terrain
- Only ADA-defined service dogs are allowed on Bannerman Island
- Food and drinks are not included; bring food to eat on the boat only, as picnicking is not allowed on the island
- Use the composting toilets on Bannerman Island, as there is no restroom at the Beacon dock
