Things to do nearVolente Beach Resort & Waterpark
Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark is a lakeside water park in Leander, Texas, combining sandy shores, waterslides, and live music on the banks of Lake Travis.
Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark occupies a scenic stretch of Lake Travis shoreline in Leander, Texas, roughly twenty miles northwest of downtown Austin. The property grew from a modest lakeside gathering spot into a full-scale resort destination that blends the laid-back culture of the Texas Hill Country with the energy of a traditional waterpark. Visitors come for the waterslides and splash areas, but many stay for the sandy beach, where they can swim directly in Lake Travis rather than a chlorinated pool. The open water swimming experience, framed by cedar-covered hills and wide Texas sky, gives the place a character that a landlocked park simply cannot replicate.
Beyond the water attractions, the resort maintains a strong identity as a live music and entertainment venue, hosting local and regional acts on an outdoor stage most weekends throughout the summer season. Food and beverage options on-site keep visitors fueled through long days in the sun, with casual fare suited to the beach setting. Families with young children appreciate the shallower water features alongside the more intense slides, which means the park genuinely accommodates different comfort levels without feeling spread too thin.
The surrounding area along the Lake Travis corridor offers additional options for boating, hiking, and dining, making Volente Beach a natural anchor for a longer Hill Country outing. For anyone seeking a day that combines the thrill of a waterpark with the ease of a real lakeside beach, Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark delivers an experience that is specific to this corner of Central Texas.

Chance of rainTips for visiting Volente Beach Resort & Waterpark
Visit on a weekday morning to enjoy shorter lines at the waterslides and easier access to the sandy beach area before afternoon crowds arrive.
Bring water shoes, as the terrain between the beach and waterpark attractions includes rocky lake-bottom areas along the shoreline.
Check the resort's schedule before your visit, as Volente Beach regularly hosts live music events on weekend evenings that extend the day well into the night.
Pack a cooler with snacks and drinks, since outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are generally permitted in designated areas of the property.
Arrive early to claim a shaded spot near the lake, as the covered seating areas fill up quickly on hot summer afternoons.
